Nathan Asher is more than a photographer – he is a husband, father, teacher, and storyteller. Raised in foster care and public housing, he lost his mother at sixteen and faced homelessness at twenty. Struggling with poverty and obscurity – and repeat homelessness for years after – a hail-mary move to Asia changed everything. There, Stories from the East was born.
